JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Character Designer rings in the new year with new art

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure recently introduced anime fans to a brand new generation of Joestar in a rather unique setting as Jolyne Cujoh, the daughter of Jotaro Kujo of Stardust Crusaders fame, was charged with a crime she had not committed and tried to clear her name within a maximum security prison in no time. However, like the generations before her, she encountered some hostile Stands during her quest, and a character designer for the anime series has put together new art to usher in the Year of the Tiger according to the Chinese zodiac.

Netflix released the first 12 episodes of the Stone Ocean in 2021, although the streaming service and David Production are rambling on when we can expect the series to make a comeback on the streaming service. While not written in stone, it is highly likely that we will see Jolyne and her fellow inmates from Green Dolphin Street Penitentiary return sometime this year, as Jotaro’s daughter tries to save her father’s life and unravel the plot that was instead by the late villain Dio Brando.

Character designer Kohei Ashiya took to his official Twitter account to gather Jolyne, Ermes and Foo Fighters, along with their fellow booth users, to ring in the new year which is sure to be a big one in both the mediums of anime and manga. for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure:

Next to the Stone Ocean on Netflix, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure recently took the opportunity to return to one of his previous arcs by creating a spin-off manga featuring Josuke Higashikata from Diamond is unbreakable fame, as well as the villainous Hol Horse introduced in Stardust Crusaders. With creator Hirohiko Araki already confirming that he would be returning for the franchise’s ninth installment, JoJo Lands, fans of Stands are waiting to hear if the next chapter of the Joestars will be released later this year.

What do you think of this new Joestar art to ring in the new year? Do you think we’ll get word on the Stone Ocean’s return sooner rather than later? Let us know in the comments or drop me a line on Twitter @EVComedy to tell us all about comics, anime and the world of the Joestars.
