Eagle Professional Resources sold to IT personnel company in TO

An Ottawa-based staffing agency specializing in IT staff placement has been acquired by a Toronto company.

Eagle Professional Resources has been sold to Si Systems ULC, the companies announced this week. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Founded in 1996, Eagle now has approximately 100 employees in 10 offices across Canada. CEO Janice Grantham said the partnership with Si Systems, one of the country’s largest IT staffing organizations, will create an industry “powerhouse” with broader market reach and range of services.

“The new combined entity provides more opportunities for our contractors and greater access to on-demand talent for our clients,” she said in a statement.

Si Systems CEO Derek Bullen called the deal a “very good match” for both companies.

“Our organizations are highly complementary with shared values, culture and performance,” said Bullen. “I’ve known the founders of Eagle for over 20 years and we’ve always worked together to exchange ideas and advice.”
