Bartlett Regional Hospital has appointed a permanent behavioral health officer after months of high-level turnover. Tracey Dompeling will succeed acting officer Karen Forrest on June 20.
Forrest has held the position since September, when Bradley Grigg stepped down.
Dompeling is currently the state director of the Juvenile Justice Division. She has a degree in social work and administration of justice from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Acting CEO Jerel Humphrey made the hire. Initially, the hospital’s board had planned for the permanent CEO to fill the position, but the board has yet to choose Humphrey’s successor and Forrest will not extend his six-month interim appointment.
