After 20 Years, David Spade Lists a Home in LA for $20 Million

David Spade bids farewell to his old Beverly Hills home, where he has lived for two decades.

The actor and comedian listed the sprawling four-bedroom, six-bathroom home for $20 million on Thursday.

The house occupies over 6,400 square feet and sits on a nearly one acre lot. Spade, 57, bought the house in 2001 for $4 million.

Located in the upscale Trousdale Estates, the home features floor-to-ceiling windows, city and Pacific Ocean views.

The house consists of a formal living room, a covered living tree, a gourmet eat-in kitchen, which was recently renovated, and an elevated dining room, according to the listing. The primary upstairs suite has a loft, double bathrooms, walk-in closets and a terrace.

A sitting room features a wet bar with seating for six, a double sided fireplace and quick access to the expansive backyard with a pool, patio, fire pit and full size tennis court.

The move comes after Spade paid $14 million in October for a newly constructed 11,300-square-foot, six-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion on the Sunset Strip.

Stuart Vetterick of Hilton and Hyland has the listing.

“David really likes this house. From the moment he saw an aerial view of the house more than 20 years ago, he knew he wanted to buy it,” Vetterick told Forbes. “He’s only leaving now because he’s ready for a change.”

“There’s so much to love about this house,” Vetterick added. “But what makes it really exceptional is that incredible view. It’s one of the main reasons David fell in love with this place.”

Spade recently had a guest host hosting the latest season of “Bachelor in Paradise.” Other roles include an appearance on NBC’s “Mr. Mayor.” He will star in the upcoming movie ‘Hotel Transylvania: Transformania’.
