Walmart merges fashion and fitness with a new brand of activewear and swimwear by designer Michelle Smith and fitness superstar Stacey Griffith

This includes strategic collaborations with designers and influencers to bring new collections to our portfolio of exclusive and refined brands. Since the start of the pandemic, activewear has been a high-growth and important category for our customers. In fact, The NPD Group reported that activewear grew 37% in 2021. It was only natural that activewear would be the next step in expanding our premium brand portfolio, and we are. with a bold and exciting brand that fills a blank space for high quality, performance sportswear and swimming without the high price tag.

Love & Sports features vibrant, high-performance fabrics and details in a fresh, fashion-forward mix of gym with street styles and trims. At its core, it’s an energetic brand inspired by bold, iconic, vintage athletic styling that maximizes comfort and durability. And today, the activewear collection is available on Walmart.com and is beginning to roll out to 1,500 Walmart stores. Swim will start arriving in the next few days. Collections will drop seasonally, with new additions like shoes and accessories arriving this fall.

The inaugural collection features 121 women’s activewear and swimwear, priced between $12 and $42. Bright, vibrant colors are the hallmark of the brand, with standout neon colors throughout retro running shorts, logo sweatshirts, lightweight nylon jackets and Matching one and two piece swimsuits. One of my favorite looks is our new seamless sports bras paired with either seamless bike shorts or seamless leggings and worn head-to-toe in a bold color.

Just in time for summer, we’ve rounded out the new Love & Sports brand with an exceptional swimwear collection. It features suits for performance or gaming, with strapless one piece suits, retrokini tops, ring bikini tops and bikini bottom.

In addition to endless wearability, the entire Love & Sports collection is universally flattering and available in sizes XS-XXXL for activewear and XS – XXL for swimwear.

We can’t wait for customers to see and try the new line. Michelle and Stacey collaborated in the development process from start to finish, carefully crafting each design around an athlete’s level of performance and emerging fashion and colorway trends in fitness, streetwear and swimwear.
