Travis Scott quit his show on Monday night after several fans put themselves in danger…and it’s impossible not to think of the Astroworld drama while watching the video.
Travis opened for Meek Mill at the Coney Art Walls in Coney Island. He took the stage around 8 p.m., DJed and then performed.
The crowd was packed, so much so that a few spectators climbed onto a lighting truss and hung down to watch Travis perform. One of the fans must have planned ahead…he was wearing a Spiderman costume.
Travis saw what was happening and shut down the show, ordering fans off the farm. They followed his orders and the concert continued.
As you all know, Travis is facing multiple lawsuits about the Astroworld tragedy, with some of the victims and families of victims alleging that he should have stopped the show before the thunderbolt. Travis insists that he I did not see or know what was going on, and the fact is… apparently neither did the police, who seemed oblivious.
Travis should perform at several gigs with huge crowds later this year.
