Toronto couple arrested after Thursday shooting

Toronto’s Mario Francis, 32, and David Williams, 19, are charged with guns and fail to meet charges

Police have arrested two men after a shooting in the West End on Thursday afternoon.

Just after 4:40 p.m., police were called to Dundas St. W. and Sterling Rd. – just west of Lansdowne Ave. — after callers said two men saw open fire on a vehicle.

The gunmen were last seen heading north on Sterling.

Police eventually located and arrested the two men and found three handguns and an amount of ammunition.

Mario Francis, 32, and David Williams, 19 – both from Toronto – are facing a number of charges, including firearms and non-compliance with probation orders.

Both appeared in court for the first time on Friday morning.
