WASHINGTON – A Rochester, Minnesota woman charged with the attack on the US Capitol is suing the Washington DC police chief and other police officers.
Victoria White filed a civil suit alleging she was involved in protected speech or a peaceful protest when she was “beaten about 35 times with a metal baton and five times in the face”. She claims that her constitutional rights have been violated and that she has not threatened or harmed any federal or state agents. The lawsuit says there is video evidence from January 6, 2021 that supports its claims.
White faces federal charges of civil disobedience, entering a restricted building, disorderly conduct in a restrictive building, and violent entry and disorderly conduct on the Capitol grounds.
