The freshly made new episode of Karan Johar’s much-loved talk show Coffee with Karan dropped on Disney+ Hotstar on Thursday. Guests? Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan were on the famous “Koffee Couch”, where celebrities make shocking revelations and spill beans about their love life. While Sara and Janhvi, who now share a great bond, entertained the audience with anecdotes about their travels, their exes and their latest crush Vijay Deverakonda (more on that later), they also shared what their respective families think about their professional projects.

Sara Ali Khan, who is Saif Ali Khan’s daughter with his ex-wife Amrita Singh, revealed that Saif “loves” his films as long as they are not remakes of his films. When Karan asked Sara if he “didn’t like any of your movies yet,” she replied, “As long as I don’t remake his movies, he likes my movies. I think we are good there” and burst out laughing. So far, Sara has only appeared in one movie which is a sequel/remake of her father’s movies. Sara Ali Khan, who did it Coffee with Karan her debut with her father in November 2018, also revealed that the one who makes all the big decisions at home is her mum Amrita Singh and she never felt the absence of Saif Ali Khan in her life, after the separation, as it always is “just a phone call away.”

Sara Ali Khan made her Bollywood debut with Kedarnath in 2018. The same year, his film with Ranveer Singh titled Simba was released in theaters and it was a success. His third film was a sequel to Imtiaz Ali’s 2009 director I love Aaj Kal, which starred Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Then she was paired with Varun Dhawan in Coolie No. 1.

Sara’s last film was Arangi Re alongside Akshay Kumar and southern star Dhanush.
