Congratulations are apparently in order for Taika Waititi and Rita Ora.
The lovebirds tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in London, The Sun UK reported on Monday.
“It was a really intimate and super special ceremony for everyone there,” a source told the outlet. “Their loved ones can see how madly in love they are.”
The source further claimed that the singer – who also changed her name to Waititi-Ora – wanted a small wedding in order to “keep their relationship as private as possible”.
The source continued, “A big showbiz-style party is planned to celebrate, but don’t expect to see it whipped to the highest-paying magazine.”
Ora seemingly confirmed the news and sported what appeared to be a wedding band in an Instagram photo shared on Sunday.
Representatives for Ora and Waititi did not respond to Page Six when asked for comment.
The ‘For You’ singer, 31, and the ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ director, 46, reportedly made almost ‘simultaneous’ marriage proposals to each other last month and were planning a ‘low-key’ ceremony to be followed by a party splashing later this summer.
“It’s not about them doing a big showy thing and singing ahead of time,” a source told The Sun UK at the time. “It’s just about being in love and deciding that the time has come to formalize their relationship.
The couple were first linked in May 2021 when they were photographed in Sydney, Australia.
They were also pictured kissing on a balcony with a third contestant, actress Tessa Thompson.
“I think in the world of the internet everything goes pretty fast,” Waititi told the Sydney Morning Herald after the viral kiss. “And also, ‘Is it that important?’ No, not really. I wasn’t doing anything wrong. It’s okay.”
Three months later, the couple made their red carpet debut at the premiere of “The Suicide Squad.”
Ora’s marriage to Waititi comes two years after Page Six revealed that Waititi and his then-wife Chelsea Winstanley had separated.
The former couple share two daughters: Te Hinekāhu, 10, and Matewa Kiritapu, 6.
