We now have an exciting opportunity for the Revenue Officer role for a highly motivated and creative individual to join our Housing Services team to deliver exceptional customer service to our residents and grow this service.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will have the necessary communication and networking skills to work directly with residents and key service partners. Your excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills will enable you to manage a varied workload and collaborate with others to meet support needs and achieve positive results. You will have demonstrable experience of working in an agile environment and the ability to regularly work from different locations in Hackney to better meet the needs of the communities we serve.

Your primary role and purpose is to deliver our Income and Debt Service, providing a fantastic customer experience. You’ll take our proactive approach to maintaining rentals and customer service. As an Income Officer, you will have fantastic interpersonal skills that will allow you to build relationships with customers and all other stakeholders.

As a Revenue Officer, you will own the customer experience and performance across your entire patch, being the focal point for delivering our service offering around Revenue, Payables, Miscellaneous Payables , legal costs and performance excellence, ensuring that all targets are exceeded or implementing collaborative solutions. plans in place to recover from any performance shortfalls. While meaningfully engaging customers to understand their situation, build trust and create payment opportunities, exceed their expectations and reduce revenue and debt while maintaining rentals.

You will be good at building and maintaining exceptional working relationships, at an operational level, with Housing Benefits Departments, DWP, Debt Charities and other related agencies; be highly visible to customers, provide in-depth knowledge of all things revenue and debt, account management and your customers’ benefits and take responsibility for your own health and safety and ensure that our customers are safe in their homes and common areas.

You have relevant professional qualifications and/or experience in this field. You will be a supportive and engaged team player, with the customer and the community at the heart of everything you do; someone who develops and shares skills, experience and knowledge.
