Remains found at Gunnedah High School in north-west NSW to undergo forensic tests

Police have set up a crime scene at a school in North West New South Wales after remains were found this morning.

Shortly after 9 a.m., police arrived at a dig site at St Mary’s College in Gunnedah, about an hour’s drive west of Tamworth.

Police have confirmed that the remains have been seized and will undergo forensic testing to determine if they are human.

Specialist police are en route to the scene from Tamworth to assist with investigations.
