Rebel Wilson has revealed the very simple way she lost 35 kg (77 lbs) during her ‘Year of Health’ in 2020.

In an interview for Apple Fitness+, the actress, 41, admitted that walking — rather than doing endless intense workouts — has actually been her secret weapon for losing weight.

Rebel said a doctor at a health retreat advised her to take a walk, claiming it was the “best way” for her to shed the pounds.

“The doctor said to me, ‘Rebel, the best way to lose unwanted body fat is to just walk,’ she explained.

Doesn’t have to be intense, doesn’t have to be uphill, just moderate walking for an hour a day. And if you can do that, for you, for your body type, it’s the best way to lose unwanted body fat.”

Rebel made headlines around the world after proclaiming 2020 as “Health Year” and has since lost about 35kg.

In May, the Fat Pizza star candidly admitted she was “sad” that she had waited until age 40 to embrace a healthier lifestyle.

“Now that I know I can do it, sometimes I feel sad that I didn’t do it sooner,” she told InStyle.

She admitted she’s always been “a bit of a late developer,” saying she wished she’d “tried it when I was 30, not 40.”

“I have a natural empathy for anyone who struggles with weight issues because I’ve always struggled with that.”

Rebel said that “anyone can go for a walk and drink more water and do small, consistent things that will improve their lives” — and it’s never too late to start.
