Public restroom bill introduced in New York City Council could lead to more restrooms being built

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) – Finding public restrooms around New York may soon become a little easier.

A bill presented to city council would require the development of a report that would identify at least one location in each zip code in the city where public restrooms could be installed.

The report is expected to be sent to the mayor and city council by June 2023.

In 2019, the city comptroller filed a report ranking New York City 93rd out of America’s 100 largest cities for public restrooms.
