Paul Scholes reveals conversation with Jesse Lingard about Manchester United dressing room ‘disaster’

Paul Scholes has opened up on a private chat with Jesse Lingard after Arsenal beat Manchester 3-1 on Saturday.

United’s hopes of getting Champions League football were dim before the clash against Arsenal at the Emirates, but now they are almost non-existent. United’s loss means they are now six points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.

United have just four games left this season and Arsenal are also one game short. United knew Saturday’s game at Arsenal was a game to be won, but they fell behind within two minutes of the game and they never equalized.

United’s dressing room is believed to be toxic and Scholes has suggested this for punditry duties. Scholes revealed he had a conversation with Lingard in which the pair discussed the club’s dressing room being a “disaster”.

“I had a quick chat with Jesse [Lingard] the other day,” Scholes told DAZN.

“I’m sure he won’t mind me saying – the dressing room is just a disaster.”

Lingard is expected to leave United on a free transfer.
