News from Queen Elizabeth – Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could finally bring their daughter to the UK in WEEKS after a breakthrough

Peter Phillips tipped as Queen’s ‘special’ grandson

Insiders have claimed Peter Phillips is seen as the Queen’s “special” grandson, although Prince Harry has said he shares a “really special” bond with his grandmother.

Prince Harry spoke of the Queen’s “sense of humour” in an interview with NBC earlier this week and of his 96-year-old grandmother he said: “Her sense of humor and her ability to see the humor in so many different things.

“We have a really special relationship.

“We talk about things she can’t talk about with anyone else.”

However, royal expert Richard Kay said he was told by insiders that if there was a “special” one among his grandsons, it would be Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips – not Harry.

Kay said the monarch had “always been scrupulous to avoid any accusation of favoritism in relation to her grandchildren”.

Writing in the Daily Mail, Mr Kay also added: “She has always been close to Peter and admires the way he and his sister Zara behaved as the monarch’s grandchildren but without royal titles.

“She thinks that Peter in particular inherited Anne’s characteristic resilience.

“She considers him reliable.”
