Manchester United’s Eric Baily has issued a call to start the clash with Arsenal ahead of Harry Maguire.
The 28-year-old has fallen out of favor at Old Trafford, making just four Premier League appearances and seven in all competitions this season.
In Raphael Varane’s recent absence, Bailly saw Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones go ahead of him, his last appearance coming in the 3-1 win over Burnley on December 30.

And the defender has taken to social media to ask to start ahead of United’s visit to Arsenal on Saturday.
Beneath the training photos posted by the club on Instagram, a fan commented “Start bailly x Varane”, and Bailly replied: “Please!”, followed by a laughing emoji and a pair of praying hands.
Tuesday’s 4-0 loss to Liverpool saw Ralf Rangnick leave with five defenders at the back and Bailly had to settle for a place on the bench, with Jones picked to start ahead of him.
The loss to Jurgen Klopp’s side prompted United fans to get #MaguireOut trending on Twitter after another below-par performance from the club captain.

Although the whole team played poorly, Maguire was partially responsible for two of Liverpool’s four goals and was criticized after the match.
With Varane fit again, Bailly – whose contract expires in two years – is unlikely to feature against Mikel Arteta’s side.
The Ivory Coast international joined United from Villarreal in 2016 and has since made 113 appearances in all competitions, with one goal during that time.
Rangnick’s side currently sit sixth in the table, three points behind Tottenham and Arsenal in the hunt for a Champions League spot.
