Law firm signs lease to expand in Century City

Law firm Miller Barondess signed a long-term lease for approximately 33,000 square feet at Fox Plaza in Century City.
The property, owned by Irvine Co., is located at 2121 Avenue of the Stars.
Michael Arnold and Matt Ehrlich of NAI Capital represented the tenant in the transaction. LA Realty Partners represented Irvine Co.

“Representing one of Southern California’s most prestigious litigation firms has been a privilege,” Arnold said in a statement. “Collectively, we implemented a strategic plan that incorporated project management and in-depth financial analysis that enabled Miller Barondess to complete this transaction. Ultimately, Irvine Co. was chosen because it was able to meet Miller Barondess’ goals and objectives for his business over the next 15 years.

Fox Plaza has 34 floors and 768,000 square feet of office space. Miller Barondess will occupy the 26th floor and part of the 27th floor.
The new lease will allow them to expand, moving from their current space nearby at 1999 Avenue of the Stars. Miller Barondess will leave space by the end of the year.
The firm, founded in 2006, has 40 lawyers, including 13 partners. She specializes in litigation.

“Our goal was to work with their team to welcome Miller Barondess’ growing team of lawyers and provide them with the ideal work environment for the next generation. Many logistics had to be perfect for this decision to make sense. Ehrlich said in a statement. “After many visits and negotiations, the former Goldman Sachs space at 2121 Avenue of the Stars proved to be the best choice for the company.”

Century City is one of the hottest office markets in Los Angeles. In the first quarter, its vacancy rate was 15.4%, well below the county average of 20.8%, according to data from Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.
