Harry Styles has candidly revealed he’s ashamed of his sex life, admitting it’s “the only thing that belongs to me”.
The hitmaker – whose third album is slated for release soon – has begun to work his way through intimacy issues, a journey he detailed in a new interview.
Confidence was a difficult concept for the 28-year-old former member of boy band One Direction, as he explained to Better Homes and Gardens.

He said: “For a long time I felt like the only thing that belonged to me was my sex life. I was so ashamed about it, ashamed that people even knew I had sex, let alone who.
“Back then, there was still the kissing and telling stuff. Knowing who I could trust was stressful.
Luckily for pop singer Watermelon Sugar, his perspective has changed and he’s questioned his shame at being young and single – ‘it’s like, yeah, I’m having sex’ , did he declare.

Around the time of his UK-nominated second album Fine Line in 2019, Harry faced intense scrutiny surrounding his sexuality.
The singer, who is from Worcestershire and has a close-knit group of friends, said it was a “weird and outdated” expectation to go public with who he slept with and how he defined himself.
“I’ve been very open with my friends, but that’s my personal experience; it’s mine. The whole point where we should be moving towards, which is accepting everyone and being more open, is that it doesn’t matter,’ he said.

With a thriving discography taking his career to new heights, Harry, who has also put a firm foot in the door to acting, promises his new record, Harry’s House, will be the most “intimate” album to date.
With a flurry of anticipation leading up to his May 20 release date, the Dunkirk star said his level of commercial success won’t dictate ‘whether his life is over’, and is instead focusing on that his loved ones – and her future children – proud.
At the height of the lockdown, the solo star spent six weeks doing ‘virtually nothing’, including retiring from writing and recording music – which made him realize that his schedule past had accelerated avoidance.
Harry explained that whether it was friends or people he dated, he was always ‘gone’ before difficult conversations arose.

It’s been over a decade since curly-haired 16-year-old Harry auditioned for The X Factor, where he was cast in boy band One Direction, alongside Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik.
And even now, as his musical abilities take him from strength to strength and country to country, the pop star confessed that he sometimes expects someone to turn around and say, “The jig is up. , you are done now.”
It was a feeling that engulfed a worried Harry during his One Direction days and early years as a soloist, with him admitting he was “terrified” that it all would end because he “didn’t know necessarily who he was” without music.
