ERLING HAALAND is set to break Premier League goalscoring records after ONLY ONE MATCH in the competition.
And the bad news for defenders is that he is still settling at Manchester City – according to new team-mate Ruben Dias.
Before and after his devastating full debut for West Ham on Sunday, the greatest goalscorers of recent years lined up to have their say.
Alan Shearer jointly holds the record for most Prem goals in a season with his 34 goals in Blackburn’s title winning season of 1994-5.
He scored 260 in total and tweeted the 21-year-old Norwegian on Sunday night “258 to go”.
The Newcastle legend added: “An incredible start to his Premier League career. He will score a ton of goals in this City team if he stays fit.
Wayne Rooney is second behind Shearer in the all-time list with 208 and tipped Haaland to score one goal per game in Pep Guardiola’s side.
Ahead of the game against West Ham, Rooney wrote: “He has 175 goals in 222 appearances to his name. Considering the number of chances created by City, I think he is capable of scoring a goal a game in England and winning the Golden Boot this season.
Guardiola’s big signings have often been slow to settle in – it took a season to really find his feet.
Record £100million purchase Jack Grealish is a prime example, but the same could be said of Riyad Mahrez, Rodri and Joao Cancelo, among others.

Still, in the pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich in Green Bay and also at the London Stadium on Sunday, the signs are that Haaland has fitted straight into his new team.
Centre-back Dias believes the £51.4m star still needs time to get used to his new team-mates and vice versa.
But the Portuguese, 25, doesn’t think it will take him long and has urged the rest of Guardiola’s squad to help him settle in quickly.
He said: “We are getting to know him and he is getting to know us. The games will allow us to speed up the process.
“I’m very happy for him to have scored both goals today in his first Premier League game.
“It’s going to be great for his confidence too and for the team because we know what he can give us.”
On Sunday we saw the kind of help Haaland can give to this team
The only other City player to score twice on his Prem debut was a certain Sergio Aguero, who scored 258 more over the next ten years.
Boss Guardiola has found a way to win back-to-back Etihad titles without the murderous Argentine, who has only featured in a handful of games.
Still, on Sunday there was a glimpse of what the champions will be able to do with a recognized No.9 in their squad.
Dias added: “On Sunday we saw the kind of help Haaland can give to this team.
“At this stage it is very important to play games together, that he adapts to us, we adapt to him and he feels more and more connected to the team.
“Despite all the individuals we have on the team, this team only works if we work together as a team.”
West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell has warned fellow defenders what they can expect from the former Borussia Dortmund ace this season.
The full-back, 32, said: “It’s my first time playing against him. He’s so powerful and direct.
“It’s obviously disappointing on our part but we were up against a fantastic team. The conditions were really difficult for us, especially when they kept the ball.
“They had a lot of possession and you feel like you’re constantly chasing. We were up against a very good team but we were still disappointed with our performance.
