FLORIDA – Dr. Larry Andreini left this world on April 27, 2022, at his home in Florida with his wife Julie by his side.
He was born August 10, 1940 in Iron Mountain to Beatrice and Joseph Andreini.
After graduating from Iron Mountain High School, Larry attended Marquette University and then Creighton University Medical School.
After serving two years in the Air Force, Larry spent his life caring for people at Doctor’s Park, the St Francis Emergency Department in Escanaba and across UP. He said there was no other job he would like better than medicine.
In his spare time, Larry enjoyed being at camp, hunting, golfing, painting, traveling, and cooking for friends and family.
Larry is survived by his wife, Julie; five children, Michael (Jane), Joe (Rae), Lisa (Bob) Valiquette, Mathew and Cara; and two stepdaughters, Megan (Donny Wallenfang) and Natalie (Sean Anderson); also, sisters Pauline (Fran Brouillette) and Bernie Blomquist; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his son, Daniel.
Plans for a celebration of Larry’s life in July are incomplete at this time.
