WASHINGTON (AP) — Police in Washington, DC, say two people died Saturday night when a truck hit a cyclist and rammed into a fireworks stand in northeast Washington. The Metropolitan Police Department said the cyclist and a man working at the fireworks stand were pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. Police say the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Minnesota Avenue and Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE. Both victims were adult men. Police said the driver of the truck was apparently suffering from a medical emergency when the accident happened and was being treated at a local hospital.
