Crime in New York: Violent robbery at a subway station filmed in Brooklyn, New York

BROOKLYN (WABC) — Police are searching for the man behind a robbery at a Brooklyn subway station.

Video shows the suspect trying to grab the victim’s bag as she sits on a bench at the West 8th Street-New York Aquarium station.

The victim is thrown to the ground during the fight and drops his phone.

The suspect grabs the bag and the phone then flees.

The victim escaped serious injury.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect.
