Chantelle Houghton has revealed she was so ‘demoralized’ by comments asking if she was pregnant that she embarked on a new diet and lost 2.5 stone.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star, 38, has embarked on a weight loss journey after taking three stones following the breakdown of her relationship with ex-fiancé Michael Strutt.
The mother-of-one, who was also targeted by vile trolls, realized she had to drastically change her lifestyle and eating habits after being given an ‘unhealthy’ BMI score.

“It’s demoralizing and hurtful when you get congratulated on a pregnancy that isn’t happening and it’s just gross,” she told OK! magazine as she showed off her transformation.
“My waist was 38 inches and it was as big as my bust. I felt vile and disgusting
The former reality TV star has turned to a healthy meal delivery plan with MuscleFood, which she says provides her with “proper meals.”
Explaining that she is a size 10 again, Chantelle said: “There have been times when I have lost weight, but this time I feel better about my body than ever. I feel absolutely amazing.

She also said friends and family noticed the difference and thankfully all the pregnancy comments “have stopped”.
Earlier this year, the Essex native spoke to New Magazine, admitting she was “embarrassed” that her weight had increased but now lives a much healthier lifestyle.
“I felt really bad about it, but my confidence is great now,” she told the magazine. “Not only have I lost almost two stones, but I also feel healthier.”
Speaking about her lockdown weight gain, Chantelle added: “All of a sudden I just thought, ‘How did I get so fat? With the lockdown, I was eating garbage and not moving as much as I normally would. I felt really embarrassed.

Her weight loss even inspired Chantelle to date her after a year of being single.
In September 2021, the star revealed she split from fiancé Michael Strutt in January 2021 after their whirlwind romance fizzled out during lockdown.
Chantelle found love with Ordinary Boys singer Preston during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, with the two getting married. They divorced a year later but remained good friends.

Chantelle also shares a nine-year-old daughter with ex-fiancé Alex Reid.
Speaking about future romance and her past marriage, Chantelle gushed: “I would love to get married. I know I’ve been married before. What me and Preston had…our wedding was totally real.
“I loved her with all my heart and wanted to marry her. I don’t consider it a failed marriage because I was 21 and we were in a crazy world at the time. I don’t see it as a real marriage, even if it was. Would love to do it again, though.

The interview also saw Chantelle open up about her heart condition after raising concerns about Christmas by sharing a photo of herself in an ambulance.
She wrote at the time that she had had a ‘scary day’ but the NHS was ‘amazing’, without giving further details as to why she visited.
Speaking to New, Chantelle explained that she was diagnosed ten years ago with a heart condition called supraventricular tachycardia, which means her heart sometimes beats up to 400 beats per minute.
“If I can’t get out of the episode myself, I have to call 999 and they help me. They will do maneuvers to bring it back to normal,’ she explained of her Christmas scare.
“A few years ago they had to stop my heart, which was scary. It’s just something I live with.
