Fire crews have extinguished a ‘reasonably significant’ fire in Plymouth on Friday night. Eight fire engines were called to the incident at the Burrington Way Industrial Estate.
It follows a fire that broke out at around 7.20pm. It is thought to have occurred at ML Commercial Body repairs LTD, a spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Service said,
They said initially six fire engines were sent to the scene. At around 8pm that was up to eight.
The spokesman added: “We were called to a fire with smoke billowing from the building. It is a reasonably significant incident.
“Fire crews are tackling the fire. They are using breathing apparatus.”
Images from a distance show large smoke plumes looking form Pennycross towards Honicknowle. Plenty of sirens were heard in the area.
