There are behind-the-scenes updates on the absences of a few WWE Superstars from television.
According to Fightful Select, “the creativity is brewing” for Kevin Owens for plans moving forward with him. Owens has been absent from television, most recently on last week’s episode of “Raw.” It was noted in the report that Triple H was linked to Owens on-screen for his WWE Universal Title victory. Owens won the title on August 29, 2016 on “Raw”. He would lose the title to Goldberg at Fastlane in March 2017.
Lacey Evans was removed from the July 29 episode of “SmackDown.” During the episode, it was said that Evans was not cleared to compete, but Fightful learned that there were no immediate creative plans for her. Evans’ comeback this year has been “chaotic and directionless”. Evans was said to be a personal favorite of Vince McMahon and was very hands-on and worked directly with Evans when she came to “Raw”.
There is an update on Omos. Omos hasn’t been on WWE’s “Raw” for the past few weeks, but is said to be still on the road with WWE and being managed by MVP. He faced Ezekiel at Monday’s WWE “Main Event” tapings.
Fightful has also been informed that several talents are in the same boat waiting to find out what they will do under the new regime. Several have had meetings directly with Triple H about their future.
As previously stated, Triple H isn’t expected to stop reshaping the roster anytime soon to add depth. So far, due to his new WWE roles, Karrion Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux and Dakota Kai have made their comebacks. Iyo Sky has also re-signed with the company.
